DQ | Avalanche Roses | tear | (I believe that you are attempting to use a Hackamore/Bosal) This is Illegal equipment because of the reins you have with it; When using a hackamore, there must be complete (they mean closed) reins (not split reins) and a tie-rein. AQHA rulebook SHW305. WESTERN EQUIPMENT. SHW305.1 Hackamore means the use of a flexible, braided rawhide, leather or rope bosal, the core of which must be flexible. A hackamore must use a complete mecate rein, which must include a tie-rein. See these images for how the reins should look: https://snapbraggin.com/album/2a00eb6c-a1a1-6144-66a6-9f1b1a650376/photos/scroll If this is a specialized type of bridle and rein, please contact me with reference (aerart@aol.com) and I may remove the DQ if you can prove to me that this bridle/reins is legal. |
