| DQ | In The GreyLight Of Dawn | Trish Yanko | DQ - DIV F1/CLASS 12 : Colour incorrect (unrealistic). Grey-- especially dapple grey-- is an incorrect colour for any young or newborn foal. Grey foals are born black (or any solid base coat colour)-- and coat colour begins to turn after the first foal coat is shed out (usually between 3 - 5 months). Grey is a colour that acts as a modifier over the base coat, gradually causing the hairs to grow lighter (greyer) over time. Dappling does not occur until the horse is a mature adult (not appropriate for newborn or very young foals!). Currently, MHOSS does not offer any classes for unrealistic colour or decorator-type models. |
