RANCH SORTING: This is a timed event in which three riders must sort, and move to another pen, ten cattle in numerical order, starting with the number called by the judge. Fastest time wins!
But, sort the wrong number cow, or let a cow escape and your team will be disqualified! -
The judge called the number 5, so the team has sorted #5, 6 and 7, in order.
Now Gil is driving cow #8 toward the pen.
A teammate is blocking cattle (#5, 6, and 7) from escaping, while the other teammate is making sure that (#3) does not enter out of order.
Please judge the horse to the far right, with light-colored saddle blanket.
