I am a Gallery Member. How many photos may I upload?
As a Member of a Gallery, the number of photos that you may upload into
an Album is determined by a few things!
The number of photos you may upload into an Album is influenced by:
- Restrictions by the Host as to how many photos can be uploaded per Member into the Album.
- How many photos you have already uploaded into an Album that has a restriction.
- Whether or not you have permission to Add photos.
- Whether or not the Album is a Contest Album that is being judged.
- And (least likely, but still possible), if the Host's Hosting Plan has reached capacity or has expired!
Restricted number of photos:
A Gallery's Host may restrict the number of photo files that may be uploaded per member into an Album.
Whenever you upload, the Uploader page will provide information about upload restrictions.
Restrictions will also be posted on the Album's Home Page when the Album indicates: Open.
For example, an Album's Home page might indicate: Submissions: Open, 6 per Member.
That means that the Album is open for submissions, and, if you have permission, you may upload a maximum of 6 photos into the Album.
NOTE: When you have reached the maximum number of uploads for an Album, you will be prevented from adding more photos. However, you may delete some of your Photos out of the Album in order to make room for more, if desired!
Unlimited uploads:
A Gallery's Host may allow you to upload as many photos as you want into an Album.
Well, that is cool !
In that situation, you can just keep on uploading until something stops you!
When uploads are unlimited, the Album's Home page will indicate:
Submissions: Open, unlimited per Member.
No uploads allowed!
As a Member, you may be prevented from uploading photos at certain times !
Sorry about that!
But, in SnapBraggin, Gallery Hosts have the final say about when and how many photos may be uploaded by their Members.
NOTE: Whenever the +Add photo button in an Album is RED, that means that you are not permitted to Add photos at this time! You can click on the RED +Add photo button to read the reason why.
You must have permission.
As a Member, you must have permission from your Gallery's Host, before you can do ANY uploads !
Your membership privilege must be Can Submit YES.
To learn about your membership privileges, go to your My Account - My Gallery Memberships page.
If your membership privilege (what the Host permits you to do in their Gallery) is Can Submit NO, you will not be able to upload photos at this time!
Even if you have permission, there may be times when adding more photos is not permitted!
Maximum number: Even when an Album is Open and you have permission, you will be prevented from uploading photos if you have already reached the maximum number allowed per Member in the Album.
Hosting Plan maxed out or expired: Even when an Album is Open and you have permission, you will be prevented from uploading photos if the Host's Hosting Plan has reached capacity or has expired. Well, that is not good ! You will be unable to add more photos, if either of those happens!
Album not Open: Even when you have permission, if an Album does not indicate: Open, you will always be prevented from uploading photos into the Album. This will happen, for example, when an Album is Closed, or when a Contest Album is being judged.
