TOOLS FOR INSERTING A PHOTOS OR EDITING IMAGE ELEMENTS:
NOTE: All changes and edits using these tools will "stick" (will be saved)
once you click on the Apply button.
Paste or type a URL address of an internet photo into the box.
You can use a URL address to one of your photos in SnapBraggin.
NOTE: To obtain a URL address for one of your photos in SnapBraggin,
you will need to access your photo's detail page, then display the photo's Full Size version.
The Full Size version will be displayed on a separate webpage with a unique URL address to that photo.
Copy the unique URL address and paste it into the Image Source box.
Background Color:
Use the dropdown to choose from the large selection of background colors!
Select transparent if you want your image to be displayed against the overall color (black) of the SnapBraggin story area.
Select a color if you want your image to be displayed within a colored box which has the selected background color.
Content Alignment:
Use the dropdown to choose the alignment for your image element.
Select left if you want your image element to be "left justified", which means that it will
bump against the left side of the story area.
Select center if you want your image element to be centered within the story area.
Select right if you want your image element to be "right justified", which means that it will
bump against the right side of the story area.
Width (%):
Width is the width of your image.
The Width and the right/left Margins work together, and should add up to 100.
examples:
Image Width 80, right/left Margins 10 each = 100
Image Width 100, right/left Margins 0 each = 100
Margins (%): (four boxes, right/left, and top/bottom)
Use the right/ left boxes to set the side to side margins.
The Width and the right/left Margins work together, and should add up to 100.
Use the top/ bottom boxes to set the spacing between other elements.
0 or 1 = single spaced
2 = double spaced
Padding (%):
Padding is useful if your image has a colored background, which means that your image is within a box of color.
Padding will add some space to the right and left and top and bottom of your image, WITHIN the colored box.
The padding area will allow the color background to show around your image, kind of like a matboard on a piece of artwork.
NOTE: Padding will also increase the space use.
If you use Padding,
the Width, PLUS Padding PLUS right/left Margins should add up to 100.
Example:
If you add Padding of 5, that adds 10 overall (5 to right and 5 to left), making the total 110.
You will therefore need to decrease your right/ left margins by 5 each, in order to keep
the total of 100.
NOTE: If your padding is 0, you will not see the selected colored background, because the image will fill the box of color.
Border Style:
Use the dropdown to choose the border style for your image element.
The styles are: None, solid, dotted, dashed.
An outline will be put around your image element.
The border outline will be in the chosen border style.
NOTE: The border can be used in conjunction with padding.
The padding could simulate a matboard,
the border could simulate a frame,
which would create the illusion of a matted and framed piece of artwork.
NOTE: If your Border Style is NONE, you will not see a border.
Border Width:
Use the dropdown to choose the width of the border for your image element.
The styles are: thin, medium, thick
The border outline around your image element will be given the chosen width.
NOTE: If your Border Style is NONE, you will not see a border.
Border Color:
Use the dropdown to choose the color of the border for your image element.
The border outline around your image element will be given the chosen color.
NOTE: If your Border Style is NONE, you will not see a border.
Border Radius (px):
Enter a number into the box.
Use the number to alter the shape of the border for your image element.
This tool will "round" the corners of your element.
The outline around your image element will be given the chosen shape.
examples:
A low number will just slightly curve the corners of your border.
A high number will round the corners of your border.
You might use a high number for Border Radius in order to put a round or an oval frame
around your image element.
NOTE: If your Border Style is NONE, you will not see a border.
Display Inline:
You may use Display Inline to position two elements side by side.
Display Inline has a checkbox.
CHECKMARK = YES, if possible, display the element inline.
NO CHECKMARK = NO, do not display the element inline.
Display inline means that, IF there is space in the story area,
the element will shift to be positioned beside (instead of above or below) a neighboring
element.
NOTE: The neighboring element MUST ALSO be checked as Display inline YES.
NOTE: You will need to adjust the Width plus Margins of your
elements (to make them smaller) so that they can fit side by side.
NOTE: As with everything else on the SnapBraggin website, Gallery Stories MUST BE KEPT CLEAN
and MUST FOLLOW SNAPBRAGGIN CONTENT GUIDELINES as outlined in the Terms of Use Agreement.
