I am a Gallery Host. How do I DQ, Disqualify a photo in my Contest Album?
This answer is for use only by Gallery Hosts who are holding Contests.
Rejections and Disqualifications have some similarities....
Photos that have been Rejected or Disqualified will not be visible to other Members or to the Public.
Photos that are Rejected or Disqualified will not be judged or Rated in Contests.
Photos that have been Rejected or Disqualified will include Rejection or Disqualification Comments to provide to the owner the reason for the Rejection or Disqualification.
And, the owners of Rejected or Disqualified entries may correct their entries while Albums are in the Open state.
However, Rejections and Disqualifications are handled and given at different times.
Disqualifications can be given by Judges (or the Host.) Disqualifications are during the process of judging a Contest via the For Judges menu link.
Rejections are given by the Host. Rejections can be given at most any time via the Album Home.
NOTE: Although issued differently, Disqualifications or Rejections will provide the same end results, which are that the photos will be hidden from other Members or the public and the photos will not be judged or rated (in Contest Albums.)
IF YOU FEEL THAT A PHOTO SHOULD BE DISQUALIFIED:
PERHAPS YOU SHOULD REJECT THE PHOTO INSTEAD:
Hosts can issue rejections at most any time, to photos in their Shared or Contest Albums that are in Open, Closed or Judging state. (Not while a Contest Album is in Completed or Recorded state.)
Simply find the offending photo via the Album Home. Then access the photo's Detail page, and click on the Reject button.

OR, YOU CAN ISSUE A DISQUALIFICATION:
Hosts have the ability to judge any of their Gallery's Contests via the For Judges path, even those Contests which are assigned to Members as the Single Judges.
This therefore gives the Host the ability to DQ, Disqualify troublesome entries in Contests that are currently being judged (by a Single Judge, not rated), if desired.
Simply enter a Contest Album via the For Judges menu link, and apply a DQ Flag to a problem photo.
HOW TO DQ, DISQUALIFY A PHOTO:
An entry photo may be DQ, Disqualified, by a Single Judge or the Host, via the For Judges menu link path.
HOWEVER, this is only possible while a Contest is in the Judging state.
NOTE: Photos cannot be DQ, Disqualified in Contests that are being rated.
1. Click on the For Judges menu link.
2. Use the dropdowns to locate the Gallery and Contest Album.
3. READY FOR JUDGING: If the Contest indicates: Ready For Judging, that means that the Contest is in the Judging state. Click to enter the Contest.
4. COMPLETED: If the Contest indicates: Judging Completed, that means that the Contest can be re-judged. Click to enter the Contest. Then click on the Re-judge this Contest button.
Re-judging a Contest will change the Contest from Completed state back to the Judging state.
5. On the Phase #1 page, click on any RED DQ Flag or icon DQ FLAG ICON on the photo's thumbnail, scroll view or detail page.
6. Type a DQ Comment into the box, to tell the owner the reason why the entry is being disqualified.
7. Then click Apply.
8. The photo will be given a DQ Flag and the entry will be disqualified.
The photo will no longer be a valid finalist.
