What are the types of Appraisal? What are Pending Approval, Approved, Rejected, Finalist, and Disqualified?
There are six types of Appraisal that may appear on photos in SnapBraggin:
(Pending Approval, Approved, Rejected, Finalist, Disqualified, and None.)
Three are given by the Host.
These are called Host Appraisal: Pending Approval, Approved, and Rejected
Three are given by a Judge or the Host during Judging of a Contest.
These are called Judge Appraisal: Finalist, Disqualified, and None.
HOST APPRAISAL (three types):
Host Appraisals are possible on all photos uploaded to SnapBraggin, and they are possible in all Album types.
The Host Appraisal types are: Pending Approval, Approved or Rejected.
These three types of Host Appraisal are determined by the Gallery's Host.
Pending Approval:
When the Host is screening new submission with Manual Approval, photos that are waiting for a decision by the Host (as to whether or not the photos are appropriate or are following Contest rules) will be Host Appraisal: Pending Approval.
PA BADGE: Pending Approval photos will display a PA, Pending Approval Badge. PA BADGE ICON
Photos that are Pending Approval will be hidden and may not compete in Contests (they will not be judged or rated.)
PA, Pending Approval photos are awaiting the Host's decision!
Hosts! Please approve PA, Pending Approval photos before starting judging (if you hold Contests!)
Approved:
Photos that are Host Appraisal: Approved have been Approved by the Host (either manually or automatically.)
Approved photos will be visible to those who have permission to view the photos in your Album (either Viewing: By Everyone or Viewing: By Members Only)
Approved photos may compete in Contests (they may be judged or rated if their owners have permission from you.)
Rejected:
Any photos that have been Rejected by the Host will have Host Appraisal: Rejected.
REJECTED BADGE: Rejected photos will display the Rejected badge. REJECTED BADGE ICON
Photos that are Rejected will be hidden and may not compete in Contests (they will not be judged or rated.)
Photos that are Rejected may be modified/corrected by their owners, which will change them back to Pending Approval.
JUDGE APPRAISAL (three types):
Judge Appraisals are possible only on Approved photos that have been judged or rated in Contest Albums.
The Judge Appraisal types are: Finalist, Disqualified, and None.
These three types of Judge Appraisal are determined by assigned Single Judges or by the Gallery's Host.
Finalist:
Judge Appraisal: Finalist only appears on Approved photos that have been judged or rated in Contest Albums.
Finalist Status is achieved either: when an Approved photo is given a Finalist Flag by a Single Judge, or when an Approved photo receives sufficient high ratings while Member Ratings is the judgement method.
FINALIST FLAG: Finalist photos will display Finalist Flags FINALIST FLAG ICON if they are potential winners of the Contest (if the Contest is still being judged or rated), OR
PLACEMENT AWARDS: Finalist photos will display awards PLACEMENT AWARD ICON if they are official winners of the Contest (if the Contest has been Completed or Recorded.)
Disqualified:
Judge Appraisal: Disqualified only appears on Approved photos that have been disqualified in Contest Albums via For Judges path. (Disqualified is not applicable for Rated Contests.)
Disqualified means that, during judging, the assigned Single Judge or the Host has judged the photo to be inaccurate.
DQ FLAG: When a photo is Disqualified, it will display a DQ Flag. DQ FLAG ICON
DQ-PA BADGE: If a Disqualified photo is modified/ corrected by its owner, the DQ Flag will be changed to a DQ-PA badge.

Photos that are Disqualified or DQ-PA will be hidden and may not compete in future Contests (they will not be judged or rated.)
None:
Judge Appraisal: None only appears on Approved photos that have been judged in Contest Albums via For Judges path. (None is not applicable for Rated Contests.)
Judged photos that were neither Flagged as Finalists nor Disqualified will have the Judge Appraisal: None.
