This answer applies only to Standard Contest Albums.

 

NOTE:  Champion and Grand Champion Contests can never be state: Open. 

Champion and Grand Champion Contests will transition directly to Judging state from Closed state, when their feeder Contests have been Completed.

 

A Standard Contest may be opened to allow entries to be submitted. 

 

A Standard Contest may be Closed to prevent entries.

 

 

 

To Open a Standard Contest, simply change it to state: Open in the Contest Management List. 

 

 

1.  Access your Gallery's Contest Management List (via Host Tools on the Gallery's Home page or via Host Tools on the Contest Album's Home page) 

2.  Please checkmarks next to selected Standard Contest Album(s)

IF CLOSED:  You may change Standard Contest Albums from Closed state to Open state.

 

IF JUDGING, COMPLETED or RECORDED:  You will first need to reset Standard Contest Albums in the Contest Management List.   

 

Reset will clear away current judging activities.

Following Reset, the Contest Albums will be transitioned to the Closed state.

 

NOTE:   If you wish to save Contest results and issue awards to the winners, YOU MUST RECORD CONTESTS BEFORE RESETTING.

 

3.  Click on the Edit Selected button

4. Click on Change State

5. Click on Open.

 

6.  The selected Standard Contests will be changed to the Open state.
