I know that a Contest Album contains some entries, but my Single Judge sees an empty Contest (via the For Judges link.) There are no entries to judge. Why?

This answer applies only to Contest Albums that will be judged by Single Judges

(not by Member Ratings.)

HOW MIGHT A CONTEST ALBUM APPEAR EMPTY FOR THE JUDGE?

It is important to realize that only entries that are VALID may compete (may be judged) in Contests.

That means that only valid entries are shown to the Judge.

Entries that are not valid are hidden from the Judge.

If a Standard Contest Album contain some entries, but the judge sees an empty Contest, it is because SnapBraggin

is hiding the entries for various reasons.

ENTRIES THAT ARE NOT VALID WILL BE HIDDEN FROM THE JUDGE

The following are the types of entries that are not valid (they cannot be judged) and are therefore deliberately hidden

from the Single Judge.

Pending Approval photos:

The hidden entries might be PA = Pending Approval.   Pending Approval entries are not able to compete (will not be judged) until

they have been approved by the host.

Hosts !  If you are screening entries, please decide about PA, Pending Approval entries before starting the judging!

Rejected photos:

The hidden entries might have been Rejected by the Host.

Disqualified photos:

The hidden entries might be DQ = Disqualified by a previous judge.   Disqualified entries are not able to compete (will not be judged)

until they have been corrected by their owners and approved by the Host.

DQ-PA photos:

The hidden entries might be DQ-PA.

DQ-PA means that the entries were Disqualified by a judge, then they were corrected by their owners.

DQ-PA entries are awaiting the Host's decision whether or not to approve the corrections.

Hosts !  Please decide about DQ-PA entries before starting the judging!

The assigned judge's photos:

The hidden entries might be owned by the assigned Judge.

If the Host has opted to YES, "Hide Judges' Photos When Judging" (on the Manage This Gallery -  Gallery Contest Settings page),

the assigned judge's entries will not be included in the entries shown to the judge.

Photos owned by Members who are Can Not Submit (Can Not Compete):

The hidden entries might be owned by Gallery Members who do not have your permission to compete in Contests.

Photos, which are owned by Members who are set as Participation: Can Not Submit (Can Not Compete) or Access: Blocked,

will be hidden from the judge.

Non-qualified entries:

If the Contest is put into Qualified Contest Mode, then only "qualified" entries will be judged in the Contest.

In that situation, all Non-qualified entries will be hidden from the judge.
