This Gallery Management option is useful in those Galleries in which the Host wants to maintain a Gallery Membership and permit Members to upload photos.

 

If you have Members, this option allows you to Manually Screen your Members' newly-uploaded photos for content.

 

 

NOTE:  This option will set the Approval restrictions for all members of your Gallery.

 

 

The options for Submission Approval Type are:  

Manual:  Select this if you prefer to manually view and approve newly-uploaded photos for content.  All members will be set as requiring your Manual Approval of their new submissions.  You have the option to change individual "trusted" members from Manual to Automatic Approval in the Member Management List.

 

Automatic:  Select this if you want all newly-uploaded photos to be automatically approved and to be immediately viewable by the public and/or your members.  All members will be set to Automatic Approval in the Member Management List.  Note that Host submissions are always Automatically Approved. 

 

 

New Gallery Setup:

During initial Setup of a new Gallery, STEP #4 allows you

to determine Membership Settings, including the selection of the Submission Approval Type.

 

 

Established Gallery: 

To Change the Submission Approval Type in an established Gallery:

 

1.  While visiting your Gallery's Home page, access Manage This Gallery (via the Host Tools button or menu link.) 

 

2. Click on the Gallery Membership Settings button.

 

3. Select your preferred Submission Approval Type. 

 

4. Then Click Save.

 

 

NOTE:  Manual Approval gives a host the ability to screen new photos and to remove inappropriate content before they are seen by Gallery members, judges or the public.   

When Manual Approval is selected, newly-submitted photos (from Members) will be marked with PA, Pending Approval badges.  PA BADGE ICON

PA, Pending Approval photos will be awaiting your decision !   

You must manually decide whether to Approve or Reject them!

 

NOTE: Even if Automatic Approval is selected, the Host will always retain the ability to reject or delete unwanted photos.
