NOTE:  Only Gallery Hosts may transfer Albums from one Group to another.    

 

Each Album is associated with a Group.  The Host decides which Group.    

                                  

To "transfer" an Album from one Group to a different Group, the Host must simply change the Group name for the Album in Album management.  

 

NOTE:  Nothing will be physically moved when you change the Group name for an Album.

Only the Group Name associated with an Album will be changed.         

                                                                                             

For example:                                                   

Let's say that Album Tweety is associated with the Group Birds (has the Group name: Birds.)

But you want to "transfer" Album Tweety from Group Birds to Group Cartoon Birds.

Simply access Album management for Album Tweety, and change the Album's Group name.   Change the Group name from Birds to Cartoon Birds. 

 

How to change the Group name:

When viewing an Album's Home page:

1.  Select Manage This Album (via the Host Tools button or menu link)

2.  Then select Album Basic Settings

3.  Edit the Group name (in the example, change the Group name from Birds to Cartoon Birds) 

4. Then Click on the Save button.       

Album Tweety will then be associated with Group Cartoon Birds (because the Album will have the Group name: Cartoon Birds.)
