NOTE:  This information applies only to Galleries with active memberships.

 

Member Comments are the comments that the Gallery's Members or Host may leave about the photos in an Album (when Member Comments are ON.)

 

This answer is regarding Member Comments (not Rejection Comments or DQ, Disqualification Comments, which are always On.)

 

The Gallery's Host must decide whether Member Comments will be On or Off in each Album, because each Album is set individually. 

 

 

 

MEMBER COMMENTS MAY BE ON OR OFF IN YOUR ALBUM.

 

 

 

The option for Allow Comments on Photos is determined in Album Setup or Album Management.

  

To change the Allow Comments on Photos option of an established Album:

 

1. When on the Album's Home page, select Manage This Album (via the Host Tools button or menu link)

 

2.  Click on the Album Photo Settings button

 

3.  Make your desired changes to the Allow Comments on Photos? option.  YES or NO?

 

Select YES to turn Comments On.

 

When Comments are On in an Album, Gallery Members and the Host may leave Comments for the photos in that Album.

 

Select NO to turn Comments Off.

 

When Comments are Off in an Album, Gallery Members and the Host may not leave Comments for the photos in that Album.

 

4.  Then Click Save.

 

 

NOTE:  If Member Comments are ON in an Album, and are later turned OFF, any current comments will be temporarily hidden. 

If Comments are subsequently turned back ON again, the hidden comments will become visible again.   

 

NOTE:  If you wish to permanently get rid of comments, you will need to delete them.

 

NOTE:  Remember that Members are NOT ABLE to edit or delete their comments once they save them. 

Only the Host has the ability to edit or delete Member Comments!
