I am a Gallery Host. How do I change who can View my Album (the Allow Public Viewing option)?
This Album management option is available for all Album types.
The decision for who can View an Album is made in Album Setup or at a later time via Album management, and the decision is made, individually, per each Album.
The options for Allow Public Viewing are:
Allow Public Viewing: YES or NO?
YES: Allow Public Viewing = VIEWING: BY EVERYONE
You may set individual Albums in your Gallery to be Allow Public Viewing YES, which is
Viewing: By Everyone. (Everyone will include the entire world, either Signed in to SnapBraggin or not Signed In.)
Choose Allow Public Viewing YES, only if all the photos in your Album will be appropriate for being viewed by anyone, of any age.
All photos must follow the SnapBraggin Content Guidelines.
All Visitors to your Gallery's Home page will be able to view the photos in your Albums that are Allow Public Viewing YES. They will be able to simply click to enter those Albums.
NO: Do not Allow Public Viewing = VIEWING: BY MEMBERS ONLY
You may set individual Albums in your Gallery to be Allow Public Viewing NO, which is Viewing: By Members Only
Choose Allow Public Viewing NO in order to restrict the viewing of the photos in your Album to be only by the Gallery's Members and the Gallery's Host.
All photos must follow the SnapBraggin Content Guidelines.
Gallery Members (who are Signed In) will be able to view the photos in your Albums that are Allow Public Viewing NO (Viewing: By Members Only), simply by clicking to enter those Albums.
Non-Members and Members who are not Signed In will be prevented from viewing the photos in your Albums that are Allow Public Viewing NO (Viewing: By Members Only.)
How does SnapBraggin prevent viewing?
SnapBraggin is clever and knows whether a visitor to the Gallery's Home page is a Member or not, and whether that visitor is Signed in or not. If the visitor does not have permission to view the photos in an Album, SnapBraggin hides the Album!
New Album Setup:
During initial Setup of a new Album, STEP #1 allows you to indicate whether or not to Allow Public Viewing of the Album.
Established Album:
To Change the Allow Public Viewing option of an established Album:
1. When on the Album's Home page, select Manage This Album (via the Host Tools button or menu link)
2. Click on the Album Basic Settings button
3. Make your desired changes to the Allow Public Viewing option. Select YES or NO,
4. Then Click Save.
NOTE: If your Gallery is set as UNLISTED (private), that will not prevent the public viewing of Albums in your Gallery which are set as Viewing: By Everyone.
Anyone who gains access to your Gallery's Home page (by using the direct URL for the Home page, for example) will be able to view photos in Albums set at Viewing: By Everyone.
