This Album management option is only available for Standard Contest Albums.

 

(This option is not available for Champion or Grand Champion Contest Albums, because they can never be Open.)

 

WARNING:  This option can only be changed while a Standard Contest Album is either

Closed or Open state.

 

WARNING:  This option is only available when The How Contest Winners are Elected option is set as: By Member Ratings.

 

 

This option will permit the Gallery Members and the Gallery's Host to Rate the photos in the Album while the Contest Album is in the Open State.

 

 

This means that the photos will be Rated at the same time as new entries are being submitted.

 

 

 

The Album management options for Allow Ratings While Open are:    

 

YES or NO?

 

Can Members apply ratings while the Album is Open for Entries?

 

 

YES:  Select YES to allow Ratings while Open. 

 

Select YES if it is okay for Gallery Members and the Gallery's Host to rate the photos during the Entry Phase, while new entries are being entered into the Contest.

 

Member Ratings will be active while the Contest Album is in the Open state

(in ADDITION to being active during the Judging state.) 

 

 

NO:  Select NO to not allow Ratings while Open. 

 

Select NO if you do not want Gallery Members and the Gallery's Host to rate the photos while new entries are being entered into the Contest.

 

Member Ratings will be inactive while the Contest Album is in the Open state. 

 

NOTE:  If Allow Ratings While Open is set as NO, Member Ratings will only become active when the Contest is transitioned to the Judging State. 

 

 

 

New Standard Contest Album Setup:  

During initial Setup of a new Standard Contest Album, STEP #4 allows you to indicate whether or not to Allow Ratings While Open.  

 

Established Standard Contest Album:

To change whether or not to Allow Ratings While Open in an established Standard Contest Album

 

NOTE: To make this change, the Standard Contest Album must be in either the Open or the Closed State AND How Contest Winners are Elected must be set as: By Member Ratings:

 

1. When on the Album's Home page, select Manage This Album (via the Host Tools button or menu link)

 

2.  Click on the Album Contest Settings button

 

3.  Make your desired changes to the Allow Ratings While Open option,

 

4.  Then Click Save.
