What are "trustworthy Members"?

A Gallery's Host may feel that some Members are "trustworthy" and that screening their photos is not necessary. 

 

Perhaps the Host can trust those Members to always upload photos that will be appropriate and that will follow Entry guidelines.   If so, those Members may not need their photos to be manually screened.  Instead the Host may want to set those trustworthy Members for Automatic Approval.

 

What is Automatic Approval for "trustworthy Members"?

When your Gallery is set for Manual Approval, all Members are set to require Manual Approval of their newly-uploaded photos.

 

However, Members whom you consider to be "trustworthy" may be changed from Manual to Automatic Approval (in the Member Management List.)

 

Their uploads will then be Automatically Approved, which means that their newly-uploaded photos will automatically be set to Host Appraisal: Approved. 

 

How to change "trustworthy Members" from Manual to Automatic Approval:

First you must select Manual as the Submission Approval Type for the Gallery (via Manage This Gallery - Gallery Membership Settings.)  

 

Then change the "trustworthy Members" to Automatic in the Member Management List.

 

1.  While visiting your Gallery's Home page, access Manage This Gallery (via Host Tools or a menu link.)

 

2. Click on the Gallery Membership Settings button.

 

3. Set the Submission Approval Type to: Manual.

 

4. Then Click Save.

5.  Return to Gallery Management

 

6. Click on the Gallery Member Management List button.

7.  Place checkmarks next to any Members whom you consider to be "trustworthy,"

8.  Click on Edit Selected.

9.  Click on Change Approval

10. Then change their Approval Requirement from Manual to Automatic.
