How do I generate written results for my Contests?
Record a Contest, then generate the written results
(and create a hard copy!)
There are two methods for generating written results:
either via the Contest Management List for multiple current Contests,
or via the Contest History menu link, per each individual, historical Contest.
How do I generate the Written Results for current Contests?
BEFORE YOU RESET YOUR CONTESTS, use this fast method to generate written results!
Use this method to generate written results for:
One Recorded Contest, or
multiple, related Recorded Contests, at once!
NOTE: All of the Contests must be in the Recorded state.
WARNING: Once Recorded Contests are RESET, you will no longer be able to
use this super simple method for generating multiple written results!
1. On your Gallery's Home page, select Contest Management List (via the Host Tools button or menu link.)
2. Place checkmarks next to selected Contests (they must all be in the Recorded state.)
You may select one Contest or multiple Contests.
NOTE: You may select multiple, related Contests, that are in a tournament bracket, for example.
3. Click on Edit Selected.
4. Click on Generate Report.
5. Click on Continue.
6. Click on Get Report Here.
7. A Webpage Version of the written results will open.
8. If you prefer a Text Version, click on the "View report as text" button.
The Text Version will open in a separate tab or Browser window.
The Text Version may be Copy Pasted, and saved, to a favorite Word Processing program.
NOTE: If you save a copy of the written results (especially for multiple Contests), you will be able
to offer the written Results to your Gallery Members.
9. When you are finished:
To close the Webpage Version, click on the Back button.
To close the Text Version and return to the Webpage Version, click on the X to close the tab or browser window.
How do I generate the Written Results for historical Contests?
AFTER YOU RESET YOUR CONTESTS, you can use this more tedious method to obtain individual Contest results.
After a Recorded Contest Album has been Reset, the written Results become Historical Written Results.
Historical written results are no longer available through the Contest Management List.
After reset, Historical Written Results must be obtained via the Contest History link for each Contest Album
(one Contest Album at a time.)
NOTE: You CAN gather the results for several related Contests, by copy pasting the Historical Written Results
(as described below), one Contest at a time, but that is a tedious method!
We strongly urge you to generate results in the Contest Management List (as described above for current Contests)
BEFORE YOU RESET your Recorded Contests!
1. Visit your Gallery's Home page.
2. Select the Group by using the Album Group List button, if desired.
3. Enter an Album to access the Album's Home page.
4. While on the Album's Home page, access the Contest History menu link.
5. A list of Dates when the Contest's results were recorded will be provided.
6. Click on the Date for the Historical Results desired.
7. Thumbnails of the Contest's winners will be displayed.
8. Click on the View Report button.
9. A Webpage Version of the written results will open.
10. If you prefer a Text Version, click on the "View report as text" button.
The Text Version will open in a separate tab or Browser window.
The Text Version may be Copy Pasted, and saved, to a favorite Word Processing program.
NOTE: If you save a copy of the written results (especially for multiple Contests), you will be able to offer
the written Results to your Gallery Members.
11. When you are finished:
To close the Webpage Version, click on the Back button.
To close the Text Version and return to the Webpage Version, click on the X to close the tab or browser window.
12. Repeat from Step #3 to collect additional written results.
