This Gallery Management option is useful in those Galleries in which the Host wants to hold Contests.

 

This Gallery option pertains only to those Galleries in which some of the Contest Albums will be judged by assigned Single Judges (not by Ratings).  

 

If you hold contests, this option will require that your assigned Single Judges leave written DQ Comments on entries that they Disqualify (while judging), in order to explain their reasons for the Disqualifications.    

 

 

 

The Options for Disqualified Photos Must Get Comment are:  

YES or NO?

 

YES:  Select YES if you want to require that a DQ Comment must be written by the judge in order to explain why they have Disqualified the entry.  

 

DQ Comments can provide information to an entrant about what must be corrected before the disqualified entry can be judged again.

 

Requiring DQ Comments is highly recommended.

 

NO:  Select NO if the Single Judge can disqualify an entry without typing a reason.

 

 

NOTE:  Be warned that if you select NO, your entrants are going to be asking for explanations!

 

 

 

New Gallery Setup:

During initial Setup of a new Gallery, STEP #5 allows you

to determine Contest Settings, including whether or not Disqualified Photos Must Get Comment.

 

Established Gallery: 

To Change whether or not Disqualified Photos Must Get Comment for an established Gallery:

 

1.  While visiting your Gallery's Home page, access Manage This Gallery (via the Host Tools button or menu link.) 

 

2. Click on the Gallery Contest Settings button.

 

3. Make your desired change to the Disqualified Photos Must Get Comment option.

 

4. Then Click Save.
