How do I change whether or not to Hide Judges' Photos When Judging?
This Gallery Management option is useful in those Galleries in which the Host wants to hold Contests.
This Gallery option pertains only to those Galleries in which some of the Contest Albums will be judged by assigned Single Judges (not by Ratings).
This option determines whether or not an assigned Single Judge can judge his or her own entries.
The options for Hide Judges' Photos When Judging are:
YES or NO?
YES: Select YES if you do not think that it is fair for someone to judge their own photos!
When Yes is selected, all of the photos in the Contest Album that are owned by the assigned judge will be temporarily hidden from view while that judge is judging.
NO: Select NO if it is okay for the assigned judge to judge their own photos.
The assigned judge's photos will not be hidden while the judge is judging.
New Gallery Setup:
During initial Setup of a new Gallery, STEP #5 allows you
to determine Contest Settings, including whether or not to Hide Judges' Photos When Judging.
Established Gallery:
To Change whether or not to Hide Judges' Photos When Judging for an established Gallery:
1. While visiting your Gallery's Home page, access Manage This Gallery (via the Host Tools button or menu link.)
2. Click on the Gallery Contest Settings button.
3. Make your desired change to the Hide Judges' Photos When Judging option.
4. Then Click Save.
NOTE: If the Host judges a Contest that is assigned to a Member (which is legal, of course), the entries that are hidden will be owned by the assigned Member Judge, not the Host.
To hide the Host's entries while the Host is judging, the Host must be the assigned judge for the Contest.
Judges can be assigned or changed via the Contest Management List, while a Contest is Open or Closed.
