How do I change the "Display Top Ten Lists" option?

This Gallery Management option is useful in those Galleries in which the Host wants to maintain

a membership and to hold Contests.

 

This Gallery option pertains only to Galleries in which Contest Albums will be judged or rated.

 

 

This option will determine whether or not your Gallery has a viewable Top Ten

for showcasing the award winners in your Gallery,

AND who will be permitted to view your Top Ten. 

 

 

 

What is the Top Ten?

 

The Top Ten is all about bragging rights (you know… SnapBraggin! )

 

The Top Ten includes two lists: Top Ten Members and Top Ten Photos in the Gallery.

 

When photos are judged or rated in your Gallery, winning photos (and their Member owners) earn points

by achieving placements and awards. 

 

Your Gallery's Top Ten Lists will display the Top Ten highest point achieving Members and the Top Ten

highest point achieving photos in the Gallery.

 

 

The Top Ten Lists also include two points versions:  Placement points and Award points.

 

 

The options for Display Top Ten Lists? are:

 

Nope.  Don't display anything.  (The Top Ten Lists will be hidden.)  

When Nope is selected, the Top Ten Lists link will not be visible on the Gallery's Home page or the menu. 

No one (except the Host) will be able to view the Top Ten.

 

Everyone.  Let all visitors see the lists.  The Lists will be public.

When Everyone is selected, the Top Ten Lists link will be present and active on the Gallery's Home page

and menu for the public to use to access your Gallery's Top Ten Lists.

 

WARNING: When the Top Ten is set to be seen by Everyone, thumbnails of any photos that have won awards

in the Gallery will be visible in the Top Ten (even photos within Contest Albums that are Viewing: By Members Only.)

 

Members Only.  Display the Top Ten for your Gallery Members only.  

When Members Only is selected, the Top Ten Lists link will be present and active on the Gallery's Home page and menu,

BUT only Members will be able to use the link to access the Top Ten Lists. 

The Top Ten Lists link will be hidden from Non-Members.

 

 

 

New Gallery Setup:

During initial Setup of a new Gallery, STEP #5 allows you to determine Contest Settings, including the Display Top Ten Lists? option.

 

Established Gallery: 

To change the Display Top Ten Lists? option for an established Gallery:

 

1.  While visiting your Gallery's Home page, access Manage This Gallery (via the Host Tools button or menu link.) 

 

2. Click on the Gallery Contest Settings button.

 

3. Make your desired change to the Display Top Ten Lists? option.

 

4. Then Click Save.
